Role Description

Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing and as part of the Sales & Marketing team, you will be responsible for the Retail Brands Sales success of Volo. The Brands/Enterprise Sales person is responsible developing a strategic and tactical sales plan based on Volo’s goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction in the Brands/Enterprise market space.

You will need deep commercial knowledge and software sales experience within ecommerce and/or retail market. You will also have strong sales methodology, organizational and inter-personal skills and an entrepreneurial approach. You will need to demonstrate an ability to sell as well as a can-do attitude and determination to succeed. This is a great opportunity in a fast paced and dynamic business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a target market Sales plan containing pipeline targets, and actions plans to identify pipeline and convert pipeline into sales
  • Meeting sales targets set by managers and contributing to team targets
  • Progress an opportunity through each stage in the sales cycle to a successful close
  • Research a customer’s situation, conduct a customer discovery sessions, evaluate fit to Volo commerce solutions and services, and communicate value to customers and prospects
  • Utilize all of the resources available to generate demand, progress the lead through the customer decision process, and close the deal
  • Understanding customer decision process and ability to identify and utilize champions to progress the deal forward
  • Prepare for meetings, continuously review and update Target market and opportunity plan
  • Drive pipeline and close opportunities, insure pipeline has ample coverage
  • Be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers in order to assist customer achieve strategy by leveraging Volo Services
  • Have a good command of the customer decision process and be able to understand and develop relationships with key decision makers, nurture champions and coaches, and progress a deal through sales cycle
  • Continuously update forecast and Sales plan
  • identifying and developing new business through networking and partner-channel
  • Maintaining and increasing sales of Volo products and increasing business opportunities through various routes to market
  • Compiling and analysing sales figures and reporting to senior managers
  • Keeping up to date with products and competitors
  • Work closely with the Head of Customer Success, Head of Implementations and Head of Development to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and revenue growth with existing customers
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions
  • Compile and review quantitative sales data and react rapidly to changing trends or new competitive threats and opportunities
  • Work closely with the marketing function to establish successful support, channel and partner programs
Key Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years track record of sales success in business to business selling
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance objectives
  • Domain expertise in the enterprise eCommerce, ERP, or Digital Marketing software space
  • Professional presence to prepare and conduct a discovery session with customer
  • Able to develop and maintain a target-market sales plan to build pipeline
  • Proven experience with identifying opportunities managing them through sales process to close
  • Lead and influence internal teams to drive pipeline and close deals
  • Able to research and understand customer business pains and tie to Volo SaaS portfolio and associated value propositions
  • Experience selling at the C level within Brands/Enterprises
  • Able to apply the principles of value based selling throughout a sales cycle
  • Fast learner of Volo SaaS portfolio and value propositions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A passion for selling and winning
  • Motivated self-starter who learns and can adapt quickly
  • Exceptional problem solving, communication and analytical skills
  • Able to adapt and function effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Knowledge of Brands retail challenges and its ecommerce solutions is preferred
