Role Description

This role requires a commercially driven individual who has a proven track record in ecommerce, particularly in marketplace selling. Specifically, you will need a deep and thorough understanding of eBay and Amazon, their ranking algorithms, and how to increase sales revenues using the various promotional tools available for each.

You will be working with market data, Volo customers and the rest of the business to devise and define marketplace or general ecommerce initiatives to grow our customers revenue as well as describing the ROI of Volo solutions to win new 1.5 and 2.0 customers.

You will need excellent analytical skills and a data drive mindset, in order to identify trends and patterns in data and exploit these with selling strategies.

You will need to work to the individual performance targets set by the Director of Growth Consulting to demonstrate progress in the role and your contribution in collaborating to the team’s total targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the Growth Consulting team to develop strategies to drive marketplace sales
  • Work with the Account Executives, New Business and the Growth Projects teams to devise and define growth initiatives linked to ROI for both the customer and Volo
  • Support the selling of these growth initiatives into our customer base or in the new business process by attending face-to-face or telephone meetings where available
  • Work closely with the Growth Projects team to monitor the success of these initiatives and the Managed Services operations
  • Continually research the ecommerce market to source and test new tools or data sources to improve Volo’s ability to define and measure growth initiatives and clearly communicate these back to the business
  • Understand what ecommerce or retail learning initiatives area available to the business and create business cases for investment
Key Skills and Experience
  • A proven track record selling successfully on eBay and Amazon
  • Experience using marketing and promotion tools on eBay and Amazon
  • Analytical skills and data driven mindset
  • Excellent excel skills, in addition to other Microsoft office applications.
  • Confident and able to present data to both new prospects and existing customers
  • Must have good initiative, and able to work on your own and as part of the wider team
  • Experience in producing comprehensive dashboards and reports
  • Able to manage budgets and report on ROI
  • Able to efficiently manage projects and workload
  • A background in merchandising and/or marketing would be beneficial
